Pour the seed in, slide the top back down, and flip the lid to find the switch - turn it "ON." Then, hang the feeder in a place where it can be exposed to sunlight.

When you receive the solar lights, check whether they light up by covering the solar panel and turning the switch on. If the light is on, place them in a sunny area for full direct sunlight. If not, reset the battery and allow at least 3 days and nights of charging and discharging for the battery to reach full capacity.
